Prinovolva chosiensis

Description
White or pale brown. Columellar with callus knob near posterior canal and fold near anterior canal. Resembles Prinovolva brevis, but shell inflated, apex flat.

Locality
Japan: Off Choshi, Mouth of Tokyo Bay, Off Mikawaisshiki, Kii Peninsula Wakayama, West of Kumamoto.

Remarks
Japanese name is connected to Choshi as the type locality. P. chosiensis is very rare at Choshi. The shell had been rarely caught from Kii and Kyushu. However, it was found also in Mouth of Tokyo Bay recently.
