Cypraea gracilis

Description
Blue graish brown or pale reddish brown, and an irregular drab pattern extends to the entire back. Brown bloch go out to the center. Base white, with black small spots.

Locality
Japan: Mutsu bay, Boso Peninsula, Mouth of Tokyo Bay in 20m, Sagami Bay, Wakayama, Shikoku, Kyushu, Okinawa.
Korea.

Remarks
Japanese name is connected to the brown bloch. Common shell in the shallow rocky beach. The figured pale reddish brown specimen is found about 20m in depth at the bottom of the sea.
