Description
Pale brown or brown. Outer lip chips easily, because thin. Sometimes opaculum lost.

Locality
Japan: Off Choshi, Off Boso, Mouth of Tokyo Bay in 250m-300m, Sagami Bay in 300m, Tosa Bay, West coast of Kyushu.

Remarks
Most of Turbinellidaes are strong, but the Benthovoluta hilgendorfi is delicate. I think this shell becomes a freak easily.
